Arthdal Chronicles revolves around the power struggles, love and growth within four characters in the ancient city of Asdal, the capital of Gojoseon.

In a mythical land called Arth, the inhabitants of the ancient city of Arthdal and its surrounding regions vie for power as they build a new society.

Eun-Sum was born with a fate to bring disaster to Arthdal. Due to his mother’s struggles to save him, he goes through hardships and grows up. He appears again in Arthdal.

Ta-Gon is a war hero of Arthdal. He has paved the way for Arthdal to become a prosperous city nation and he is the most powerful person in Arthdal. He dreams of becoming the first king of Arthdal.

Tan-Ya was born with the same fate as Eun-Sum. She is the successor of the Wahan Tribe. Going through hardships, she realized her mission. She lives under the highest honor and her ambition is to become a politician.

Eun Sum, was born with the destiny of bringing destruction to Arthdal . Because his mother fought to save him, he goes through all sorts of adversities as he grows up. Years later he returns to Arthdal to fulfill his destiny.

Ta Gon, is a war hero of Arthdal. He has paved the way for Arthdal to become a very prosperous nation, and he is the most powerful person in Arthdal, nobody ever dares to question him, and he is admired as he is feared. He long dreams of becoming the first king of Arthdal.

Tan Ya, was born with the same fate as Eun Sum, their fates are both intertwined. She has also gone through many adversities over the course of her life, She is very clear about what her mission will be. Her greatest ambition is to become a politician.

Tae Ha, a woman who is the last descendant of the Noeantal, a race completely different from humans. Her ambition knows no bounds.
